A guide about referencing
We are a group of artists that have noticed there's widespread confusion and misconceptions spreading about the limits and ethics of referencing, so we have decided to help the community by clearing up the idea of what referencing is! -- You can also watch a video about it, just click here!
What is referencing?
When we talk about “referencing,” we could also talk about “searching for information.” Imagine that you have to do an essay for school about plants, animals, planets, in other words, a subject you don’t know much about. What’s the first thing you do before you start writing? Search for information
• ME: My roleplaying hobby was short lived, only going from 2012-2013 maybe a bit into 2014 but I just can't do it anymore. Back then though, oh boy, I was bored if I didn't have 2-5 roleplays going on at one given time. They were short (for me) but a lot of them got finished that way which was what I liked. I used to roleplay at school in my notebooks with friends and we’d pass them around. I’d roleplay online here as well as on fanfiction and fictionpress. It was fun while it lasted and I’m just not into it anymore. But for those of you looking to get into roleplaying, trying to find a partner, or wondering what to i

.:Creating A WORLD From The Ground Up:.
• When building a world for your original characters, its important to define everything that you can, though setting up these boundaries can be exhausting. Specify where necessary, but don’t waste all your time on trying to plan it out. It’s important to find some kind of balance and something you can stick with instead of being bogged down by too many details. Think reasonably; don’t think that you can build a functioning language, a dominant species, several animal species, culture diversity and working planet environments all in one night.
• Think of names for your planet and the various species that inhabit

1. Copy the List, and a link to this deviation into your journal so people can see that you are in the challenge. When you have done one of the themes you can put a link to your deviation right next to the creature's name so everyone can see which themes you have done.
2. You can interpret the themes how ever you want.
3. You don't have to draw if you don't want to. It can be photographs, poetry, stories, crafts or whatever you want, as long as it's made by you. If you do photomanipulations using art made by others you need to have permission and give proper credit of course.
4. One creature for every picture/photo/whatever.

~Valuable Character Bio Creation Advice And Information~
• NONO: The BIGGEST nono for bios is putting something like “unknown” or “N/A” in a bio category of a character. First of all, why did you even include that category in your bio just to pass it up? It’s an eyeroll for a serious writer to see these things in bios. Even if the character or other characters don't know their name or even their age or parents, it should ALWAYS be listed in the bio. These are things that everyone has (unless they are a robot).
• CATEGORIES: I have included a blank bio form with all the categories I find to be necess

~Welcome To The Fandom~
• FC VS. OC: All fan characters are original characters, but not all original characters are fan characters. An original character (OC) is basically just the most basic way of saying that this is a character you made. A fan character is also a character that you made, but it’s a title specified to fandoms specifically. OCs don’t need to be in a fandom but you can't call your character a fan character if it’s not in a fandom. I will very rarely use the term FC myself because my OCs, while a lot of them ARE fan characters, they have their own books too and I would just generally prefer calling th

~Basic Bio Breakdown~
NAME: You should provide the character’s full name, even if it’s not what they go by. If they go by something else, include it in the same category like so: Joshua “Josh” Nickelson.
AGE: If your character is in a timeline where it’s simple enough just to list one age or a range of ages for them, then by all means, please do so. If you have a long, complicated series or a lot of time that passes in your book, show a birth year for your character instead—something we can measure things to.
APPEARANCE: This should contain everything there is to know about your character visually withou
